Welcome to SportNerd ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

SportNerd is a fan engagement platform that provides live sports scores, match schedules, group tables, tournament brackets, interactive prediction games ("Beat the Model"), live fan chat rooms, and other sports-related content. The Service is for entertainment purposes only. Nothing on the platform constitutes professional advice or encouragement to gamble.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

• You may need to create an account to access certain features.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• The information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, particularly for violations of these Terms.

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Using the Service for any illegal purpose.

• Spamming, flooding, or disrupting live chat rooms with irrelevant or repetitive content.
• Uploading or sharing content that is obscene, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempting to manipulate prediction games, leaderboards, or voting systems (e.g., using bots).
• Scraping, data mining, or extracting data from the Service without permission.
• Violating any applicable local, national, or international law.

Users may post comments, predictions, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by posting you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display it in connection with the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you post. We do not endorse any User Content and are not responsible for its accuracy or legality.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, remove, or modify any User Content that we deem to violate these Terms or our community standards.

Our prediction engine and related challenges are designed for entertainment and informational purposes only. All probabilities, odds, and projected outcomes are generated by algorithms and historical data; they do not guarantee real-world results. The platform does not involve real-money betting, and we do not provide gambling advice. If you choose to place bets based on our content, you do so at your own risk and must comply with the laws of your jurisdiction.

All content on the Service that is not User Content—including text, graphics, logos, images, software, data compilations, and the "Beat the Model" algorithm—is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

The Service may display sports data, news, or links from third-party providers. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of these third-party resources. Your use of such resources is at your own risk.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service, including but not limited to live scores, predictions, or fan chat functionality. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SportNerd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility. In any event, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) shall survive.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Johannesburg, South Africa. You waive any objection to such venue.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised version on the Service and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
